The installation of three new ALL WAY STOP intersections was approved at last night's council meeting. The intersections are Devon Rd at Oval Rd, Fells Rd at Oldchester Rd and Fells Rd at Forest Way. The added stop signs will be phased in every two weeks beginning today. The Council chose to make these intersections All Way Stops to enhance the safety of motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians after a recent traffic study identified these locations as having significant limited sight distance. Officers will be out to educate the public on the new stop signs after they have been installed. Enforcement of the new stop sign ordinance will immediately follow the education period.
