Synopsis: A National City resident was closing her business in the 3400 block of E. Plaza Blvd. The victim was confronted by two black male adult suspects. One suspect was armed with a shotgun and demanded all of the cash from the victim’s purse. Both suspects were last seen fleeing on foot east on Plaza Blvd. A Law Enforcement Helicopter assisted in searching for the suspects but were unable to locate them. The suspects were described as two black males in their 20s wearing hoodies.

Location: 2600 Highland Avenue.
Type: DUI Arrest/Forced Blood Draw
Synopsis: An officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. The driver, a 28 year old Chula Vista resident, was arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver refused to submit to chemical testing. A search warrant was obtained for a blood sample. The driver was verbally non-compliant, and passively resistant. He refused to remove his long sleeve flannel jacket, telling the officer to take it off of him. The officer removed the jacket and held the suspect’s arm so the nurse could draw blood. The suspect did not physically resist and was later booked into County Jail. No one was injured.
