Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 12/19/17.

-3900 blk Mallard Rd, Ropesville: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. Deputies learned that an individual in Lubbock was sending harassing messages to the complainant. Remedies were advised. Information was collected, and there is no criminal offense reported at this time.

-6100 blk Maine Rd, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a residence in reference to an individual reportedly stealing from the property. It was determined no one was committing any offenses, and one individual left the residence and was transported to another location by a deputy. No offenses were reported or observed.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a civil matter involving child custody. Remedies were advised and information was collected from the complainant.

-500 blk Travis, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy responded to assist with transporting a juvenile to court regarding a civil matter. The juvenile was released to a parent and civil remedies were advised.

-1500 blk Cactus, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was contacted regarding a civil dispute over a vehicle. Remedies were advised to both parties. Parties were separated and no offenses were reported or observed.

-3100 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to the area regarding loose horse. The horse was located and secured. No contact was made with the owner.

-3100 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Loose Livestock. Deputies were again dispatched to the area regarding a loose horse. The horse was again located and secured. Deputies will follow up to contact the owner, who was not able to be contacted.

-6100 blk Maine Rd, Anton: Emergency Detention. Deputies were dispatched back to a residence on Maine Road regarding an individual who made statements about causing self-harm. The individual was contacted and transported for a medical evaluation. The individual was later transported to Lubbock and released to a facility for further evaluation.

-1800 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. Parties all stated no offenses occurred and the disturbance was verbal only. The matter was handled and information was collected from all parties involved. No offenses were reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population on 12/20/17 as of 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 1 to be processed, 6 out of county.
