Winter Storm Watch until 03:00AM Saturday
...SLICK TRAVEL CONDITIONS EXPECTED FRIDAY AND FOR THE LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND... .Low pressure will move up the Ohio River Valley tonight. It will continue moving northeast, spreading snow into Maine and New Hampshire from southwest to northeast during the mid to late morning hours Friday. By midday Friday, a weak secondary area of low pressure will form along the southern New England coastline before entering the Gulf of Maine Friday night. This secondary system will keep a chilly northeast flow over the region, keeping the precipitation mainly in the form of snow for our first of three weather systems over the long holiday weekend. The snow will pick up in intensity by late in the day Friday into Friday evening. The precipitation may end as a period of sleet and freezing rain after midnight over southernmost New Hampshire and extreme southwestern Maine. Another separate system will bring mixed precipitation to the region on Saturday, with the potential for some snow on Monday as well. Slick driving conditions will continue during this period. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...
