Suspect Arrested For Burglary and Arson

On December 20th Fairfield Police officers responded to the Cordelia Gun Exchange on Central Way after receiving a call from the owners of the business regarding a burglary and possible fire at the business.  Officers arrived on scene and determined that a suspect had driven his vehicle through the front of the building and set fire to the building while he burglarized the business.  The suspect was not able to access any of the firearms on the premises.

Detectives from the Investigations Unit reviewed the video surveillance footage and were able to locate a partial license plate for the suspect vehicle.  Using that information it was just a matter of time until Det. Chris Grimm located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of San Bruno Street later that day.  Detectives served a search warrant at that residence that evening and located items related to the burglary.  Several residents were contacted and with their cooperation it was determined that Armando William Mandrigues, a 42-year-old Fairfield resident, was responsible for the early morning burglary.

Mandrigues was not present at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed, but he was contacted several hours later and taken into custody.  He was booked into Solano County Jail on charges of arson, possession of an incendiary device, and burglary.  A photo of Mandrigues is attached to this news release.
