Sebastopol woman arrested for DUI after crashing into a pole

Synopsis:
On Thursday, December 21, 2017, at about 4:02 PM, Sebastopol Police Officers were summoned to a business in the 600 block of Petaluma Avenue regarding a vehicle collision with a pole. The caller was concerned the driver was intoxicated. Upon arrival, Officers found a collision had in fact occurred and while on scene contacted the driver of the vehicle, Elizabeth Capetta. Capetta exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication and failed sobriety tests. Capetta was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08%. She was booked at the Sonoma County jail on the above listed charges.
The Police Department would like to remind the public that although we are in the holiday season, there is no excuse for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and would encourage you to designate a sober drive or utilize other transportation options such as Taxi’s or readily available ride sharing services.
