* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Travel will be very difficult to impossible. Total snow accumulations will range from 8 to 16 inches mainly north of a Camden to Alder Creek Line with up to 30 inches in the far northwest part of Oneida County. Farther south, much less snow will fall with only a few inches at best to the New York State Thruway before Wednesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow and whiteout conditions at times.
