Madison County officials have chnaged the travel status to NORMAL for rural unincoproprated portions of Madison County.  Motorists may encouter scattered slick spots and you should continue to drive with caution.   Be prepared when driving in extremely cold conditions by having extra blankets and cold weather clothing in your car.  In addition, plan out your trip, let family know your route of travel, and make sure you charge your cellular phone in advance.    Taking a few minutes to prepare your vehicle in advance will make you more prepared in the event of car trouble or stranded with a disabled vehicle.
