...WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS MORNING... ...WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills expected. Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during this morning`s commute. Expect wind chills to range from 10 below zero to 20 below zero this morning, then around 5 below through the day. Dangerous wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero are expected tonight into Thursday morning. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected early this morning.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida County.

* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Warning, from 7 PM this evening to noon EST Thursday. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, until 7 AM EST this morning. For the Wind Chill Advisory, until 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The dangerously cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times, especially this morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Lake Effect Snow Warning means significant amounts of lake effect snow are forecast that will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. A Wind Chill Warning means the combination of very cold air and the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frost bite can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken. A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
