MEDIA AVAILABILITY – BELATED CHRISTMAS FOR FAMILY
WHAT: Officers have arranged to surprise a family of three girls with Christmas gifts after the family was deprived of Christmas gifts due to their father’s inability to work after his white Chevy Van was stolen with all his plumbing tools inside.
Even better news: undercover officers arrested two local men, December 21, each driving a stolen white Chevy van. Inside one van was the $4000 worth of stolen tools, belonging to the father, Mr. Tomas Tahvito of Winnetka. His stolen van remains at large.
Detectives believe the arrests of Jose Argueta, 22, and Hugo Castro, 32, broke the ring of porch pirates that West Hills residents had reported stealing packages over the last month.

WHY: This will be a surprise to the three girls. If attending, please arrive at 3:30 PM and set up. Allow family to arrive at 4PM and wait for candid shot of girls seeing gifts. Parents know the reason for attending, but daughters do not.
