AVOID the area of La Puente Road and Sentous due to a road closure caused by an accident. 
The West Covina Police Department advises you to AVOID the area of La Puente Road and Sentous due to a current traffic issue.
At approximately 1130am this morning, Officers were dispatched to a major injury traffic collision (Vehicle vs. Pedestrian) at the intersection of La Puente Rd. and Sentous. On arrival, the pedestrian was found to have sustained life threatening injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained at scene and there does not appear to be any criminal implications at this point in the investigation. The female pedestrian involved has not yet been identified and her condition is not known.
Traffic closures at this intersection will be in place for an estimated 4-5 hours, pending the investigation.
