Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 12/28/17.

-US 84 at Tennessee Rd, Anton: Reckless Driver. A deputy was notified of a reckless driving complaint traveling on the highway toward Lubbock. The information was forwarded to adjoining counties as the deputy responding was in Ropesville. No other complaints were received.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy contacted a caller regarding a civil issue over the repossession of a vehicle. The deputy was later advised the vehicle was recovered without incident in another county.

-FM 1490 at America Rd, Levelland: Animal Complaint. A deputy was notified of multiple goats dumped in the area. They were located and the matter is being investigated to locate the owners.

-FM 597 near FM 168, Anton: Lost Dog. A deputy responded to a residence in the area related to a complaint of a lost dog. The caller believed the dog was at another residence in the area. The second location was checked and the dog was not hers. Deputies will follow up while on patrol in the area to see if they can assist.

-900 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Warrant Service. Deputies were dispatched to assist Randall County SO in locating a wanted person who may be at a residence in the area. The individual was located and placed under arrest for the warrants without incident. Arrangements will be made to have the individual transported back to Randall County.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Disturbance. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a verbal disturbance that occurred at an area business. It was determined no offense occurred, and remedies were advised to the complainant.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 12/29/17 at 0800 hours: 46 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 6 out of county.
