National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Areas of freezing drizzle are expected today and tonight. While this
precipitation will not be heavy, any amounts that accumulate could
produce some impacts to travel along and northwest of a line from
Goldthwaite to Dallas to Cooper where a Winter Weather Advisory is
in effect. A thin coating of ice may occur on some bridges,
overpasses, and on exposed surfaces such as windshields and stop
signs. In addition, light snow may occur, mainly along and north of
Interstate 20. A dusting of snow may accumulate, mainly on grassy
surfaces.
Very cold temperatures are expected today and tonight. Overnight
lows will be in the teens and 20s, but the wind chill values will
fall into the single digits and teens in many locations. A Wind Chill
Advisory is in effect along and north of an Eastland to McKinney and
Paris line where the wind chill is expected to fall below 0
overnight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Very cold temperatures will continue Monday through Tuesday night.
Overnight lows will be in the teens and 20s, but the wind chill
values will fall into the single digits and teens in many locations
with even a some spots below 0 early Tuesday morning.
