Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 1/1/18.

-3900 blk India Rd, Pettit: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence. The complainant reported no offenses occurred and the other involved party left the residence prior to arrival of deputies. Information was collected for a report. The complainant later advised an assault occurred. The incident is under investigation.

-700 blk Austin, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to a call of an alarm at a business in the area. The building was checked and found to be secure. The deputy met with an employee prior to clearing the call.

-FM 303 at FM 1585, Sundown: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to a report of loose cattle in the area. The area was checked and no loose cattle were located.

-3900 blk Cactus, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence. It was determined the disturbance was verbal only and involved a civil matter. One individual was arrested for an unrelated warrant and transported to the jail.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 1/2/18 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 2 out of county.
