National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Halifax County until 7:00am Thursday. A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. If you must travel tonight or tomorrow, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected.
* WHERE...Portions of eastern and central North Carolina.
* WHEN...From noon today to 7 AM EST Thursday. Snow starting in our area after 5pm.
