KPD Snow Emergency Information- Snow Emergency Effective 6:00 am 1/4/2018

A snow emergency has been declared within the Town of Kensington and will be effective at 6:00 am on January 4th, 2018. The snow emergency will be in effect until 12:00 pm on January 5th, 2018. During this time it shall be unlawful for any person having the custody and/or control of any vehicle to park or cause the same to be parked within the public right of way during a snow emergency. Vehicles interfering with snow plowing and removal operations shall be towed and stored at the owner’s expense.

We thank you ahead of time for your cooperation so we can ensure the safe and unrestricted passage of snow removal and emergency vehicles.

The police department will be staffed round the clock during the storm to ensure a timely response during the storm. We ask that you avoid any downed power lines and take all precautions to ensure generators, secondary/emergency heating sources, and power vents are properly vented in the event we lose power. With the potential for power outages and continued dangerously cold temperatures accompanying this storm, please don’t hesitate to call if you are in need of any assistance from either the police or the fire department.
