San Gabriel, CA — The San Gabriel Police Department will be hosting the next Citizen Academy class beginning on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. The Citizen Academy is designed to give citizens who live, work, or attend school in the City of San Gabriel an overview of law enforcement today, while simultaneously giving attendees the opportunity to meet the men and women in uniform who serve their community. This exciting and informative eleven-week course includes an introduction to the various Police Department bureaus, community programs, and the criminal justice system. Citizens can also expect to participate in hands-on activities that offer an authentic law enforcement experience, including police tactics and firearms safety.
Apply early, as space is limited to 20 students per class. Admission will be based on a first come, first served basis for qualified applicants. Qualified applicants who are not admitted into this session will be wait listed for the following session.
