Parking Lot Paving Project at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library Schedule and Status
Patrons of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., are advised that preparation and initial work are underway for the removal, paving, and striping of the parking lot and will reach full construction activity as of Jan. 5. The work has been divided into three areas to help maintain access to the library and minimize inconvenience.to patrons. The project is expected to continue through Jan. 26.
Work on Area 1, located on the southeast part of the parking lot, has started and is expected to be complete by Jan. 10. ADA parking may be limited during this time. Additional ADA parking is available at City Hall, both east/west parking areas.
Work on Area 2, located on the northeast part of the parking lot, is scheduled to begin Jan. 11, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 18. During this time, the entrance at Picacho Avenue will be closed. The library can be accessed via Main Street where the statues of the lions are located.
Work on Area 3, located on the northwest part of the parking lot, is scheduled for Jan. 19, through Jan 26. Both the Main Street and Picacho Avenue entrances will be open.
The library will remain open during construction. Additional parking is available at City Hall, 700 N. Main St. near the lions, on the east side, both upper and lower parking decks, and on the west side. The associated work will not affect RoadRUNNER Transit and access to the bus stop.
