On January 3, 2018 at approximately 12:36 p.m., Los Banos police communications began receiving 9-1-1 calls regarding an injury vehicle collision near the intersection of Pacheco Boulevard and Maryland Avenue.
A green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Luis Condor, 55 of Los Banos made a left hand turn onto Pacheco Boulevard from Maryland Avenue, colliding with a motorcycle travelling westbound on Pacheco Boulevard. A third vehicle, described as a tan 1996 Toyota Avalon driven by Andrea Hernandez, 26 of San Jose, was travelling westbound on Pacheco Boulevard and also collided with the 2002 Silverado.
Two officers patrolling the area came upon the collision as dispatchers were receiving 9-1-1 calls. The officers began providing CPR to the motorcyclist, who ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the 2002 Silverado was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and our investigators are still piecing details together and reviewing evidence. We do not suspect that drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision.
