(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla man has been arrested in connection to burglary and theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Kenneth James Dillard, Jr., 32, of Attalla, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of third degree theft of property and possession of burglary tools,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Dillard broke into a building at property located on Miller Hollow Road. A witness called 9-1-1 while watching the burglary take place from inside the residence on the property. Sgt. Victor Payne was able to locate the suspect’s vehicle within several minutes of the call and safely take Dillard into custody.

The stolen air compressor and air hose were returned to the rightful owner.

Dillard was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $6,500 bond.
