Madison County returned to NORMAL travel status
Madison County officials have returned to a NORMAL travel status for all rural unincorporated roadways in Madison County. We still caution motorists there are scattered slick spots on roads around the county. In addition, bitterly cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills also make travel dangersous for unprepared motorists.
All vehicles should be stocked with a winter supply kit complete with snacks, blankets, a flashlight, batteries, jumper cables, bottled water, and necessary medication should you become stranded for a period of time. Also, we encourage anyone travelling to preplan your route with family or friends so they know your route and also make sure your cellular phone is charged.
We should return to normal winter temperatures this weekend.
