Beginning Monday, January 8th, 2018 at 7:00am the contractor will be back to work on the East Avenue Relief Sewer Project. The intersection of East Avenue and 5th Street will be completely closed to all traffic. Access to 5th Street will be from Middle Avenue. The complete closure will continue to Pronesti Lane. There will be no pass through for any vehicles, including EMS. This closure will continue for the next several weeks. The length of this closure will be weather dependent.
Local East Avenue traffic should detour using 6th Street and 4th Street.
East Avenue is closed from 16th Street to 4th Street and traffic should use the posted detours of Middle Avenue and East River Street.
The Sunoco station at East Avenue and 4th Street now has access from both 4th Street and East Avenue.
