The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has taken four reports from citizens this weekend, where they received a phone call from the same phone number (317) 349-8511. All four were advised that they missed jury duty and must pay a fine. None of the four victims paid the caller. Please remember that we will never call to warn you that you missed jury duty, and would certainly not ask for any money over the phone to get you out of trouble. Simply hang up the phone and report to your local law enforcement officials, so that we can keep the public educated on these scams.
