The Anacortes Police Department has received several calls from concerned citizens regarding the recent information circulating the internet and media outlets regarding wanted suspect Remy Amon. Mr. Amon was last contacted in Anacortes on November 18, 2017 and has not been contacted in Skagit County since. The incidents in Renton and Federal Way, Washington that led to his wanted status occurred during the second week of December, 2017. Amon’s only connection to Anacortes is that he formerly worked on an Alaskan fishing vessel that was for a time moored here.

The Anacortes Police Department is absolutely interested in credible information that might lead to the apprehension of this wanted subject; however, to this point, there is no indication that Mr. Amon is still in our area. In the event that you see Mr. Amon, do not attempt to contact him. Please call 911 to provide detailed location and description information.
