...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST TUESDAY...
850 PM CST Mon Jan 8 2018
...Dense Fog Possible Tonight...
Cold overnight temperatures and the recent rain will combine tonight to produce at least some patchy fog across much of Missouri, with dense fog expected across areas from west central into central and north central Missouri early Tuesday morning. Additionally, air and pavement temperatures will drop below freezing tonight, so expect that there may be a light glaze of ice on surfaces where there is fog. This will make driving, or even walking, hazardous late tonight into Tuesday morning. Air temperatures will rise above freezing Tuesday morning.
...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST TUESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CST
Tuesday.
* VISIBILITY...Fog will reduce visibilities down to one quarter mile at times or less.
* IMPACTS...Areas of dense fog and freezing fog will result in difficult driving conditions and potentially slick roadways beginning late tonight through Tuesday morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
