There is currently an incident being managed by the Department of Public Safety originating on 70 Main Street.
An indoor water main break coming from an unoccupied building is releasing an excessive amount of water into the streets and sidewalks - pedestrians and motorists are asked to find alternative routes near the areas of West Allen, Follet St, the west side of the Rotary, West Center, and West Canal Streets.
The Winooski Fire Department and the Department of Public Works expect to have the incident under control within the next couple of hours.
