A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR BROWN COUNTY FROM 12:00 PM TODAY 1/11/18 TILL 12:00 AM (MIDNIGHT) TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Rain will changeover to a mix of freezing rain, sleet,
and light snow. Temperatures will drop quickly behind a cold
front causing any moisture to freeze on surfaces. The ice will
result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and
bridges, including during the evening commute. A light glaze of
ice is expected with little if any snow accumulation.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northeast Missouri and west
central Illinois.

* WHEN...From noon today to midnight CST tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. The
