A "Watch" Level travel advisory has been put in place due to the imminent winter weather event. Roads will be slick
Due to the imminent winter weather event, the Marshall County Commissioners have implemented a "Watch" level travel advisory. A "Watch" level travel advisory indicates that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. Only essential travel such as to and from work, or in emergency situations is recommended. Businesses, schools, government agencies and other organizations are encouraged to implement their emergency action plans.
A winter storm will bring a mix of precipitation to the
area tonight into Friday, with freezing rain, sleet both possible.
Mixed precipitation will change over to all snow from northwest to
southeast as a cold front moves through tonight, with snow
gradually tapering off by Friday afternoon and evening. Expect 1
to 3 inches of snow and minor ice accumulations. Both the Friday
morning and evening commutes will be impacted.
Please use extreme caution if you must be out. Give yourself extra time to reach your destination. SLOW down and increase your following distance.
