Approximately 1:30 am this morning the power went out to the whole town. The cause of the surges and the power outage was identified. A transformer near house 16 was experiencing issues. City crews worked to temporarily correct the issue so power could be restored. At approximately 2:30 am power was restored to part of town and at approximately 4:00 am bit power was restored to the rest of town, except for two rows of houses near house 16. City crews will work later this morning to change out the transformer and restore power to the rest of the customers.
