Hard Freeze Warning until 12:00PM Thursday

...VERY COLD AIR TO MOVE INTO THE ARKLAMISS TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY... .Dangerously cold air will move into the region starting Tuesday morning in the Delta and continue to progress south and east through the day. Temperatures will fall during the day on Tuesday. Overnight lows Tuesday night and Wednesday night will fall into the teens areawide. Daytime highs on Wednesday will fail to rise above freezing across much of the area and those locations that do will not remain above freezing for a long period of time. This long duration of cold temperatures will once again put stress on life and property in the ArkLaMiss. ...HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TUESDAY TO NOON CST THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Hard Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 6 AM Tuesday to noon CST Thursday.

* TEMPERATURE...Temperatures will fall below freezing during the day on Tuesday and should remain below freezing through Thursday morning. Overnight lows will drop into the teens both Tuesday night and Wednesday night. Afternoon highs on Wednesday are expected to remain below freezing.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia and may harm pets and livestock. Exposed plumbing is in danger of being damaged.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CATAHOULA ... CONCORDIA ... EAST CARROLL ... FRANKLIN ... MADISON ... MOREHOUSE ... RICHLAND ... TENSAS ... WEST CARROLL

Instructions:

A Hard Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
