We have been contacted by Atmos Energy and informed that the recent electrical outage experienced by the City of Groesbeck has resulted in some issues for their natural gas system. Due to those issues and the dropping pressure in the system, Atmos will shut down all natural gas services for City of Groesbeck residents in an attempt to restore the system. They have no specific timeline but anticipate having most natural gas customers back online late this evening or tonight.
Atmos further stated that a service technician will have to go to each individual natural gas customer and relight their furnace and/or hot water heater so please be aware that those arrangements will also have to be made.
