The Lake Lure Police Department will continue to update as weather notices become available. The Police office is open and patrol units are out on the roadways. It is advisable for the public to stay off of the roadways unless you absolutely must be somewhere. While Memorial Hwy/Hwy 64/74 was prepped for snow and ice yesterday there are areas of ice where water accumulates. Side roads are covered with snow and icy in areas. There is black ice under the packed snow. It continues to snow heavily. The Lake Lure Town Hall is Closed today due to harsh weather conditions.
