...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLACK ICE IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM
EST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Black ice will create slippery road conditions this
evening into tomorrow morning.
* WHERE...Portions of upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Thursday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Occasional flurries or very light snow will
remain possible into the evening hours, but no additional
accumulation is expected. Any melt water will quickly refreeze
after sunset, resulting in hazardous driving conditions through
tomorrow morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory for Black Ice means that refreezing of
roads will occur...resulting in the development of widespread
black ice. Be prepared for very slippery roadways. Some roads that
appear clear may be covered by a thin layer of ice.
