Homeless Count to take place Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Volunteers Needed.
The City of Covina is looking for volunteers to participate in the Los Angeles County Homeless Count which will take place on the night of Tuesday, January 23, 2018, starting at 7:30 pm. The City of Covina needs sixty to eighty adult volunteers ages 18 and over. People can sign up individually or in groups of two or three. For more information, or to sign up by phone, please call the Covina Housing Division at 626-384-5442. You can also sign-up on-line at www.theycountwillyou.org. If signing-up on-line, please choose Covina Cougar Park as your deployment site. Sign-ups can also be completed by e-mail to [email protected]. Training will be provided the night of the count.
The count helps officials determine the number of homeless individuals living in communities across the county on any given night. Data collected during the count is used to determine where to provide programs and services for those experiencing homelessness across the region.
