Water Main Leak Isolation and Repair Project Underway for Parts of Hickory Ridge and St. Peters Hills
The City of St. Peters Utilities Department plans to isolate a water main leak and repair a damaged water main on Brickingham Drive beginning today, Monday, Jan. 22, 2018. A number of affected customers in Hickory Ridge and St. Peters Hills (see attached map) will experience a short time without water—likely no longer than 30 minutes—this morning while the Utilities Department works to isolate the leak and minimize the number of customers affected during the following water main repair.
Once the Utilities Department is ready to repair the water main, the City of St. Peters will send public notices with more details on the affected area and timing of the water outage/repair.
Our public notices are posted online at www.stpetersmo.net, on Twitter @StPetersMo, and through Nixle messages. Stay connected with the City of St. Peters by subscribing online at www.stpetersmo.net/Subscribe.
This project is part of a proactive approach by the City of St. Peters to address water main leaks caused by the cold weather this winter. The St. Peters Utilities Department is working to repair leaks with minimal disruption to water service and avoid major water main breaks that would require emergency repairs.
A boil order is not necessary for this area. If a customer has discolored water due to a loss of water pressure during a water main repair, this was caused by the home’s internal plumbing. If you experience discolored water after a main repair, you can flush your internal plumbing lines by running the largest faucet in your home, normally the bath tub faucet or any faucet experiencing discolored water, until your water is clear.
If you have any questions, please call the Utilities Department at 636-477-6600, ext. 1573.
