Water Main Repair/Outage at Pegasus Farms near Willott Scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23

The City of St. Peters Utilities Department has scheduled repairs to a damaged water main near Willott Road in Pegasus Farms subdivision that will affect a number of homes on Mount Olympus Drive, Mount Olympus Court, Pegasus Circle, Agamemnon Court, Calypso Court, Marianne Drive, Marianne Court and Jaquetta Court (see attached map).

Affected homes are expected to be without water service on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, beginning at 9 a.m. to allow for repairs. Water is expected to be restored by 5 p.m.

The City of St. Peters will issue another notice when service is restored. Our public notices are posted online at www.stpetersmo.net, on Twitter @StPetersMo, and through Nixle messages. Stay connected with the City of St. Peters by subscribing online at www.stpetersmo.net/Subscribe.

This repair project is part of a proactive approach by the City of St. Peters to address water main leaks caused by the cold weather this winter. The St. Peters Utilities Department is working to repair leaks with minimal disruption to water service and avoid major water main breaks that would require emergency repairs.

The St. Peters Utilities Department does not believe a boil order will be necessary once service is restored, but affected customers may boil their water as a precautionary step if they wish. The City of St. Peters will collect a water quality sample later today as a precaution, and results will be available in 24 hours.

If a customer has discolored water due to a loss of pressure, this was caused by the home’s internal plumbing. If you experience discolored water after a main break, you can flush your internal plumbing lines by running the largest faucet in your home, normally the bath tub faucet or any faucet experiencing discolored water, until your water is clear.

If you have questions, you may call 636-477-6600, ext. 1573.
