INVOLVED PARTY: Thomas Youngwirth, age 46 a resident of Highland
INVOLVED VEHICLE: 2005 Chevrolet pick-up
INVOLVED PARTY: Brandon Mayberry, age 34 a resident of Redlands

On Monday, January 22nd, Brandon Mayberry succumbed to his injuries.

On Saturday, January 20th, at approximately 7:25 pm, deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the report of an injury traffic collision that occurred at Palm Avenue south of 3rd Street. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that Thomas Youngwirth was driving his 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck north on Palm Avenue approaching 3rd Street when he collided with a bicyclist. The bicyclist identified as Brandon Mayberry was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Department Region I Major Accident Investigations Team.
