Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Monday, 1/22/18.
Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 1/22/18.
-Robert Lee at Veretto Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Person. Deputies responded to a reported suspicious person in the area. The individual was contacted and identified. Information was collected and the individual was released. No offenses were reported.
-Hwy 385 at Maine Rd, Whitharral: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to locate possible loose cattle in the area. The cattle were located and were already secured behind a hot fence.
-FM 2306 at FM 1490, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. A deputy responded to assist with a vehicle crash in the area. A DPS trooper arrived and conducted the crash investigation.
-800 blk N. Alamo Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was dispatched to the area after a complainant reported seeing a flashlight through a window. The area was checked and no persons or vehicles were contacted. The area remains on close patrol.
Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, traffic enforcement and civil process service.
Jail population as of 1/23/18 at 0900 hours: 48 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 7 out of county.
