(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden man has been arrested in connection to domestic violence, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Brian Keith Bell, 41, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation, which is a felony,” investigator Brandi Fuller said.

He allegedly assaulted a female victim by choking, punching and slapping the victim in the face. The female had visible marks on her neck, face, ear and bruising to her arms.

Bell had also been served with a protection order issued from a previous domestic violence incident.

He was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 bond. As a condition of his bond, he is to have no contact or communication with the victim.
