SUSPECT VEHICLE: Black 2016 Jeep Patriot SUV
On January 16, 2018, at approximately 2:19 A.M., a Milpitas Police Officer saw a black 2016 Jeep Patriot SUV leaving the parking lot of a strip mall on Milmont Drive with its headlights off. The SUV sped eastbound on Dixon Landing Road to Dixon Road, where the officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. The officer noticed the driver, later identified as Endy Rendon, appeared to be under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. The officer arrested Rendon for DUI and searched the SUV. A loaded handgun and a small amount of marijuana were found in the SUV, and the handgun had been stolen during a residential burglary in September of 2017 in San Jose. Rendon was booked into the Santa Clara County main jail for unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of stolen property, and driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol.
