After isolating a water main leak on Brickingham Drive, the St. Peters Utilities Department plans to make repairs to the leaking water main on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. A water outage during this repair will affect a number of surrounding customers in Hickory Ridge and St. Peters Hills (see attached map). The repair/outage is expected to begin at 9 a.m. and be complete by 5 p.m.

This project is part of a proactive approach by the City of St. Peters to address water main leaks caused by the cold weather this winter. The St. Peters Utilities Department is working to repair leaks with minimal disruption to water service and avoid major water main breaks that would require emergency repairs.

A mandatory boil order is not necessary, but affected customers may boil their water as a precautionary step if they wish. The City of St. Peters will collect a water quality sample as a precaution, and results will be available in 24 hours.

If a customer has discolored water due to a loss of pressure, this was caused by the home’s internal plumbing. If you experience discolored water after a main break, you can flush your internal plumbing lines by running the largest faucet in your home, normally the bath tub faucet or any faucet experiencing discolored water, until your water is clear.
