Flood Watch until 04:00PM Sunday

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON... The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Lancaster and York.

* Through Friday afternoon

* Due to significant river ice expected to move into the area and increased river flow, flooding from ice jams is possible along and close to the Susquehanna River below York Haven.

* Areas that are most susceptible to ice jam flooding include but are not limited to Lake Clarke, primarily on the York County side, Long Level Road (State Route 624) from Klines Run Road to and including Fishing Creek Road, North Front Street near the Wrightsville Borough and Hellam Township line, and River Drive near Accomac in York County.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LANCASTER ... YORK

Instructions:

Obey all road closure signs, they are there for your safety. Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas, most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Turn around, don`t drown! Review flood safety and preparedness information at weather.gov/flood.
