Anderson Police Visit Valley Christian Center

Anderson Police Visit Valley Christian Center

On Sunday, January 21st 2018, members of the Anderson Police Department were invited to the Valley Christian Center, located in the 2800 block of Freeman Street, Anderson California. Pastor Jerry Thomas and his congregation opened their hearts and their church to all members of the department, offering a heart warming appreciation for the dedication and hard work of our police officers, support staff, and volunteers.

Pastor Thomas along with his congregation sincerely touched many of us in the community and spoke about the importance of good and righteous work within the City of Anderson. The event attracted a number of department members who brought with them family and friends. After the service, Pastor Thomas and his congregation served community members and departmental personnel with an opportunity to enjoy food and fellowship with the community.

On behalf of the Chief of Police and all of the members of the Anderson Police Department, the event was sincerely appreciated and provided a significant and symbolic representation of what it truly means to be a community. Events like this one, set an incredible example of what tight knit communities do right. The Anderson Police Department would like to formally and graciously say thank you, to Pastor Jerry Thomas and the entire congregation of the Valley Christian Center.
