On January 26, 2018, Los Angeles County Pico Rivera Station deputies were made aware of a social media incident involving a teacher at El Rancho High School, located at 6501 Passons Boulevard, Pico Rivera and a student. Subsequently, several criminal threat reports were taken and Pico Rivera Station detectives will be conducting follow up investigations. Based on these incidents and the safety of everyone, deputy personnel have increased security presence in and around the school.
