No Parking on Fire Hydrant Side of Street in Residential Areas
Important Notice Regarding No Parking on Fire Hydrant Side of Street In Residential Areas
A new law passed in Rocky River prohibits parking on the fire hydrant side of the street in residential areas throughout the City. While there are some exceptions, the law's primary scope is residential side streets.
The law passed on November 27, 2017 and changed Codified Ordinance Section 351.03 entitled "Prohibited Standing or Parking Places". This change brings Rocky River in line with the neighboring Westshore communities and provides better and quicker access for our safety force vehicles in the event of an emergency.
Signs alerting the public of this law are at each of the entrances to the city, along with other strategic locations in residential areas affected by the new ordinance. Enforcement of this new provision will begin mid-February 2018.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call Safety-Service Director Mary Kay Costello at 440-331-0600.
