Armed robberies in Giles County.
On February 2, 2018, Deputies responded to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Hospital in Pulaski to a report of a person injured during a robbery that occurred in the Campbellsville area in Northern Giles County. Upon Arrival, Deputies talked to a female from the store that said she closed the store and was walking home when a light-skinned black male confronted her. The victim described the male as being 5’11” – 6’0” tall, heavy set with short hair and sideburns. She stated the man had facial hair on his chin and wore a black jacket with grey pants. The man swung a knife at the victim and cut her on her hand then grabbed a money bag and left the scene on foot.
On February 5, 2018, 911 Dispatchers sent deputies to an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store on Highway 31 North in Old Lynnville. Upon arrival, deputies talked to the clerks that said a man dressed in camouflage and wearing a ski mask covering most of his face, gloves, and black and white tennis shoes walked in holding an AR style rifle and demanded money saying this was a robbery. The man took cash from the register and ran out the door leaving South Bound on highway 31 in a dark silver colored vehicle. The witnesses described the man as being 5’8” to 5’9” possibly mid-30s and spoke broken English. Pictures of the suspect form the security cameras at the Dollar Store are attached.
