SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR FEBRUARY 9, 2018 BEGINNING AT 5:00 A.M.
The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency for Friday, February 9th beginning at 5:00 A.M. A snow emergency means that all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and public parking lots until snow plowing operations are complete. To ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket, please move your vehicle prior to 5:00 A.M. and keep your vehicle off city streets until they have been completely plowed.
Snow and ice accumulations of 6 to 8 inches have been forecasted for the evening of Thursday, February 8th through Friday, February 9th. Main and arterial streets will be maintained throughout the duration of the snowfall event. Snow accumulations are expected to taper off on Friday morning, after which a full plow will begin and all City streets will be cleared. The full plow is not expected to be completed until Friday evening, although every effort will be made to complete residential streets as soon as possible. Please plan on keeping parked vehicles off the street until plows have completely removed snow from curb to curb.
