Livonia Snow Emergency declared
The City if Livonia is declaring a snow emergency.
A significant winter storm is set to bring 6 to 12 inches of snow between 3 am and 7 pm Friday, 2-9-2018, with potentials for higher amounts.
All parked vehicles must be removed from the roadway by 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, under City ordinance. Vehicles not removed shall be subject to ticketing and/or towing.
For each city-wide plowing event, the starting point for plow trucks is rotated to ensure that neighborhoods plowed in the latter part of the previous snow emergency are not plowed in the latter part of the current one. Clearing the roadways of snow will result in
snow piles in front of driveways, which is unavoidable. It is not possible for the City to clear individual driveways. Larger plow vehicles cannot access courts, cul-de-sacs and dead ends; smaller equipment will follow-up to clear these areas.
Livonia DPS can be reached during work hours at (734) 466-2655.
