Town of Beloit News Release

From the desk of Chief Northrop:

On 02-10-18 at approximately 2:49 P.M. officers from the Town of Beloit Police Department responded to a call of a domestic disturbance. It was alleged that the suspect, Brian Harvey M/B 11-1-65 may have been armed with a knife and had an active warrant for strangulation. As officers arrived in the area Harvey left the scene in a vehicle. Officers spotted the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. Harvey failed to stop and officers pursued the vehicle for approximately 2 miles. The vehicle pursuit ended in the parking lot of 1851 Cranston Rd in the City of Beloit. Harvey was taken into custody without incident. However, while officers were attempting to secure Harvey in the back seat of the squad Harvey head-butted and bit one of the officers.
The officer sustained minor injuries and returned to duty after being treated and released from the hospital.

Harvey was transported to the Rock County Jail and was held on charges of Domestic Violence Battery, Domestic Violence Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer, and Fleeing an Officer. Harvey was also held on an outstanding warrant.
