*UPDATE* Evacuations lifted for Box Truck Hydrogen Tank Fire - Diamond Bar

In a continuing effort to efficiently work with partnering governmental agencies to ensure safety for the residents and business partners, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) has lifted the mandatory evacuations in said areas in Diamond Bar. We have learned that the remaining hydrogen filled gas tanks in the Hydrogen truck tank fire, had to be manually released by Air Products (Proprietor) with the Los Angeles County Fire Department standing by. Although it was a lengthy process, it was deemed necessary as it was the safest and non-toxic way to handle the situation.

All evacuations for the residents that were affected by the Box Truck Hydrogen Tank Fire in Diamond Bar are now able to return to their homes.

We thank all residents and business partners affected by the evacuations for their patience.  Your cooperation enabled us to work efficiently with our partnering agencies to provide our community a safe environment.

All Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel assisting with evacuations and road closures were demobilized.
